How to Play Werewolf
Werewolf is a game of hidden roles and loud accusations. Everyone gets a secret identity. One side hunts in the dark; the other side has to talk its way to the truth.
The Werewolves
Two players are werewolves. They know each other, and each night they silently agree on one villager to eliminate. By day they pretend to be innocent — and they lie very well.
The Seer
Each night, the Seer may secretly peek at one player and learn whether that player is a werewolf. Powerful knowledge — but announcing it paints a target on the Seer's back.
The Doctor
Each night, the Doctor chooses one person to protect — possibly themselves. If the werewolves attack that person, the victim survives. The Doctor cannot guard the same person two nights running.
The Villagers
Everyone else is an ordinary villager with no night powers — only a voice, a memory, and a vote. Watching who accuses whom, and who stays strangely quiet, is how villagers win.
Night Falls
The village sleeps. The werewolves wake and pick a victim. The Doctor chooses someone to protect. The Seer peeks at one player's true nature. Nobody else sees a thing.
The Village Debates
At dawn, the night's news is announced. Then everyone talks: suspicions, alibis, wild theories. The Seer may drop hints. The werewolves stir the pot and steer the blame.
The Vote
The village votes to eliminate one player. The accused's true role is revealed. If the vote ties, nobody is eliminated — and the werewolves get another night to hunt.
How the village wins: vote out both werewolves. How the werewolves win: survive until their numbers equal the rest of the village — at that point, no vote can ever stop them.
In the game on this page you play against eight AI villagers, and your role is dealt at random every game: sometimes you are the hunter, sometimes the hunted, sometimes the one who knows too much. Every game tells a different story.
